A variety of services that focus on helping people understand and manage their situations are offered to patients, their families and our community at the Harold & Veronica Savage Centre for Supportive Care. There is no charge for any of these services or resources because of our Hospice Cottage Thrift Store, and the generosity of our volunteers, and the community.

The Care Team offers support through our Care Centre Program, our Outreach Program and Hospice Residence. They reach out to provide care in homes, treatment centres, hospitals, hospices, residential care facilities, schools and the business community.

Our Care Team of counsellors, staff and volunteers works closely with the hospice, hospital and community medical staff.

The Irene Thomas Hospice Residence offers a home away from home with experienced nurses, counsellors, support staff and volunteers present to enhance a person’s experience in finding comfort, meaning, dignity and hope at the end-of-life.

All care needs are provided including home-cooked meals prepared in the hospice kitchen.
There is a nominal daily fee for stays at the hospice residence. Please contact the Centre at 604-948-0660 for more information.
