Nov 2012 - Talented Tracey Neff and Tony Barton join Cedar Park’s Music and Dessert Evening to support the Delta Hospice Society
Embrace the Christmas season on December 8th from 7 - 9 pm at Cedar Park Church in Ladner by attending the 6th Annual Music and Dessert Evening. Enjoy listening to beautiful Christmas music that emanates sounds of joy and celebration. It is truly an evening everyone will enjoy and embodies the spirit of Christmas. This year welcomes two very well known local musical talents, Tracey Neff and Tony Barton to the program. This duo will perform sacred and secular Christmas favourites from the forthcoming Jingle Show at the Genesis theatre in Ladner December 15th. Tony is originally from Chicago and has performed many styles including Opera, Musical Theatre, Pop, Country, Rock and Jazz. From being a gondolier in Las Vegas’s Venetian Casino to fighting for a break in New York City to living like a king on a cruise ship, Tony’s experiences add an intimate and relatable feel to any evening. Tony recently performed several tributes to Sinatra that met with rave reviews. Tracy is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Music and is continually keeping busy with recital work and loves collaborating with artists from Canada and around the world, performing concerts in California, Boston, New York and Mexico and hoping to add many more destinations to the list. She relishes in performing new works such as her role of Nanami in the workshop of “Tom Pinkerton, Butterfly’s Son” (Rumble Productions) and dreams of riginating a role in the future. Tracy is also gifted in her ability to breathe new life into well known and popular classic repertoire. “We are privileged to support Delta Hospice in their phenomenal service to our community” says Catharine Gilmour one of the event organizers. ‘The support that Cedar Park Church has shown for us is truly a blessing. We are so thankful for this and value these important community partnerships. We encourage anyone who has never been to one of these nostalgic evenings to come out and enjoy’, says Nancy Macey, Delta Hospice Executive Director. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by calling Cedar Park at 604-946-7410. It is recommended that tickets be purchased early as they sell out each year.
